Baby Constipation and ways to relief it.

Baby Constipation

Why is my baby constipated? How many times have you ask yourself the reasons about baby constipation. Why do babies get constipated after changing from breast milk to formula milk, getting harder and less frequent stools?

In the market the possibility is investigated of offering an artificial infantile milk that obtains that the depositions of your baby are the most similar possible to the one of the suckling babies fed with maternal milk, studying thorough the composition of maternal milk.

The hardness and the frequency of the stools are related to the composition and digestion of the fat of maternal milk and the formulas. The composition of the fat of maternal milk facilitates to babies the absorption, avoiding the formation of certain composed (calcium soaps) which are responsible of the appearance of hard stools and with it, the constipation.

Between the components of the fat of maternal milk, palmitic acid in position B and the polyunsaturated greasy acids of long chain, they play an important role reducing the formation of calcium soaps that produce hard and little frequent stools and helping to regulate the intestinal transit of the suckling baby.

During the first months, the digestive system of the baby is not developed completely and little by little matures progressively.

For this reason, some nutrients, as it is the case of the fat and the calcium of infantile milk, are not completely digested and absorbed. The fat and the calcium that are not absorbed, can react between each other forming calcium soaps.

The fat is one of the essential elements in the feeding of the baby since it is the main power source for the development and growth of the suckling baby. Within the greasy fraction are the polyunsaturated greasy acids of long chain. These compounds are fundamental for the correct maturation of the vision, the nervous system and brain and the capacity of learning of the babies.

In conclusion, palmitic acid in position B and the polyunsaturated fatty acids of long chain, ingredients found in maternal milk, play an important role reducing the calcium soap formation that produces hard pooh.
