The sensitive skin of your baby

Baby Skin

The protection of the skin of new born is a question of health, because the skin is an essential functional organ that is in charge of the protection against infections, also protecting external and internal organs and contributes to the maintenance of the temperature of the body and the sensorial-tactical control.

The skin of a baby can be about 13 % of the total of his corporal weight, compared with 3 % of an adult.
During the first weeks, the baby has a low resistance in front of the infections, that's why at this age the possibilities of skin infection and irritation are bigger.

Use delicate soaps and creams to make sure your baby's skin doesn't get irrirated.
