conception calculators

Conception calculators

Conception calculators predict when the best time is for trying to conceive, going by when the first date of your last menstrual cycle was, and your normal cycle length. Once it gives you the range of days when you are most likely fertile, those are the days when you should try to conceive. Ovulation predictor kits might also be an added tool in assisting you in knowing when best to plan conception. In the case of experiencing illnesses, it is best to continue with having intercourse by following the recommendations for the conception calculators or ovulation predictor kits, to account for the slightly altered cycle. For the average couple, this process takes more than a few months, sometimes up to a year or more. Others achieve conception at the first try.

It should be noted that conception calculators are not 100% reliable, as there might be preexisting conditions limiting you from conceiving within that timeframe. This is especially true in women with irregular cycles, men who have low sperm-count, and women or men who are infertile, or have poor mental or physical health. If after a year of naturally trying to conceive without success, enlisting the help of your doctor is best. He or she will perform exams to check for underlying conditions, and from there diagnose or refer you to an infertility doctor. If no serious conditions are present, an evaluation by the infertility doctor will determine your chances for achieving conception with assistance. Once a plan is in motion, you and your partner should remain patient, allowing medication or other prescribed methods to have an affect.
