What are Infantilism and Diaper Fetishes?

According to Webster's Dictionary, a fetish is: an object of irrational reverence or obsessive devotion; an object or bodily part whose real or fantasied presence is psychologically necessary for sexual gratification and that is an object of fixation to the extent that it may interfere with complete sexual expression; a rite or cult of fetish worshipers; a fixation. Nearly all of these definitions seem to crop up on deekers diaper pages, a website devoted to A.B.s (Adult Babies) and D.L.s (Diaper Lovers.) Deekers diaper pages has been around since the mid 1990s.

Like most fetishes, the topic can be embarrassing to those not familiar with it, and even those who are. In Deeker's case, he is a 35 year old man who works in computers, lives with his cats, and enjoys music, films and games. What makes him
different from most of the adult population is that he likes to wear diapers, either in private or underneath his regular garments. This is a condition that can result from improper potty training as a baby. This condition is not to be confused with infantilism or Adult Babies, who enjoy everything baby-related, such as pacifiers, baby bonnets or other clothes or being "babied" by another person. D.L.s simply crave wearing diapers, either for emotional or sexual gratification. On Deeker's website, viewers with similar predilictions can find fiction and non-fiction stories about boys and men wearing diapers and connect with other people who feel the same way they do on the subject. It is a community for some of society's outcasts.
