The function of a baby day care center

Kindergarten and baby day care center

Let's try to follow a day in the kindergarten or the baby day-care center. Most parents that leave their child for the first time with strange people in the kindergarten or the baby-care centers wish they could see what their baby is up to all day. In fact, some of these modern centers offer to the parents the possibilities to follow the activities of the children through a web-cam. It is normal that us parents have doubts if the baby had a middle of the day nap, or started crying asking for mommy, and even sometimes we question the daily routines of these day-care centers or kindergartens. An idea is to try to spend a day in the kindergarten to see how it works.
Most baby nursery are not strict in the timetable, so parents can leave their kids when is convenient for them, the nanny is welcoming the babies one by one so they feel more comfortable., They all get together when everyone has arrive and sing the Good-Morning song and the teacher shows them pictures and play and sing with them for a while.
The bigger babies do their activities sitting down, while the smaller ones play in their hammocks. Every baby should have their own cot or bed with their own bedding and toys to play.

Activities in kindergartens and baby nurseries:
Everyday of the week should be a different activity focused to stimulate the senses of babies. A nursery is not only a place where your child is being taken care, it should be a learning place as well.
One activity is to stimulate the sense of smell, so the teachers ask the parents to bring a necktie of dad or a handkerchief of mom; their reaction are incredible toward those smells.
The sight is stimulated with lanterns that teach to them to differentiate light and darkness, with projectors of varied images and slides of themselves. When touching diverse materials of different textures stimulate their tact.
In order to stimulate ear the babies listen to classic and actual music.
After doing all that work the children enjoy the good weather in the playground, having fresh air.
After the break is important a good wash of hands and face, change or nappies or diapers and ready to eat. Every baby might have a different menu so the nursery stuff should take that into account, depending on the age and health necessities. To give the bottle to the little ones they hold them in their arms to make them feel more comfortable, the older ones might sit by the table with their spoon. After the meal, another wash and ready for a little sleep.
Normally after lunch babies would eat one and a half hour to two hours. It depends on the natural ritm of each baby. After the lovely sleep, they get ready to wait for the parents to come to pick them up.
