When faced with the problem of finding the perfect attire for your baby-such as newborn Christmas clothes-the best places to look are online clothing stores, eBay, or local retail chains or children's consignment shops. Newborn Christmas clothes are by far the easiest to obtain, in all sorts of designs, colors, and styles. However, if you are pressed for cash, you can even make outfits yourself.
For getting the most for your money when opting to design your own clothing, there are a few things to consider. Purchase all your needs on sale, and look for durable fabrics or yarns that can withstand frequent washing. Look for colors such as silver (or gray), red (or burgundy or maroon), green, gold (or yellow or tan), and white during other times of the year, when the prices tend to be much lower. Look around for post Thanksgiving sales to obtain the earthy tones, post Valentine's Day sales for the reds or whites, and post St. Patrick's Day sales for greens. Iron-ons or whimsical designs to apply by hand are a cheaper alternative to purchasing pricey themed fabric swatches. Clothing patterns are plentiful, and are a big help if you are worried about measuring wrong, or can't create your own pattern. But don't worry if you are not skilled in sewing, knitting, or crocheting-you could still save money on newborn Christmas clothing by purchasing an inexpensive and self-colored onesie or other type of clothing of your choice for you to customize with your embellishments.
